Co-founders include Rick Terrien and Dave Walker. Rick and Dave have been awarded 14 U.S. and foreign patents focused on oil-water separations. They commercialized many of those inventions worldwide.
Their innovations and their tools have kept tens of millions of gallons of contaminating oil out of the environment and continue to make possible a globally significant reduction in atmospheric carbon emissions from manufacturing plants.
Their work was awarded the United States Small Business New Product of the Year by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). NSPE represents the highest engineering certification in the world.
Fast Company magazine honored their work with a 'Fast 50' - now called 'The World's 50 Most Innovative Companies'. They believe they are the smallest company ever awarded this honor.
OCS includes in its ownership a world class manufacturer. They are highly skilled and experienced at serving this market with the capacity to scale.
OCS has a rich intellectual property history and an inspiring IP future.

Suction skimmers can quickly remove large quantities of floating oily contaminants without using consumables.
Standard Suction Skimmers are made of all stainless steel and use no consumables. We drive our suction skimmers with air operated pumps so no electricity is require, and no unnecessary electrical issues can be introduced in volitile atmospheres.
This skimmer is removing floating oily contaminants from machine coolants in an industrial application.
Crossflow gravity separator continuously skimming and separating floating oily contaminants in an industrial application.
No consumables used. Gravity only.
With our Loop Systems, a fixed amount of fluid is put into the treatment tank. Fluids are then continuously circulated through integrated gravity separation devices to remove contaminants.
Our product roadmap.
• Develop a market for our suction skimmer packages in the emergency spill remediation markets.
• Explore oil capture and separations opportunities at natural gas drilling sites utilizing our skimmers and gravity separators.
• File new intellectural property to include open water capture and separation devices.
